Date of crash 31st May 1965 Flat Tor Dartmoor the aircraft was on a cross country training flight from RNAS Herron Yeovilton when it developed problems the pilot Sub-Lt Derek Cottrill and observer Sub-Lt Michael Henwood managed to eject and were picked up by a recue helicoptor and returned uninjured back to 766 squadron Yeovilton I have two uncompleted grid references one places the crash in the Rough Tor area and another places it 7 km north in the black ridge area but local knowledge places it in the flat tor area and that's where I will start the search any info on this aircraft would be appreciated.I have now located the crash site there are only small pieces of the wreckage remaining at the site but I am sure that a large amount is in the water filled crater.
